AAA Ambulance Service Launches State-Of-The-Art Internet Access — Nonprofit EMS Company Promises To Remain ‘First & Foremost’

Hattiesburg, MS - Monday, February 16, 2004 - From an all-white screen soars the nationally known blue Star of Life. Suddenly the sound swooshes; drums triumphantly beat a steady, dynamic yet comforting rhythm. AAA Ambulance Service’s new Web-site welcomes viewers to learn about “service with pride and care – serving our communities, our neighborhoods, our families 24 hours a day.”

The flash, flare, and fade to brilliant EMS blue and orange symbols and text introduce AAA Ambulance Service’s revitalized brand identity.

AAA Ambulance Service Chief Executive Officer Wade N. Spruill, Jr., today announced the launch of the not-for-profit company’s new state-of-the-art communication source.

“We’ve been here for you since 1965,” Spruill said. “Today we set another milestone achievement among many firsts with the introduction of 24/7 access to detailed information, answers to frequently asked questions, facts about career opportunities and direct links to other resources. Site visitors can file an application, ask about a bill, or contact us through e-mail for specific information and support. We’re using the latest technology to reach and teach everyone with Internet access about the value AAA Ambulance Service continues to bring to Mississippi.”

AAAambulance.net continues the tradition of “first and only” quests upon which Mississippi’s first-of-its-kind licensed emergency medical services provider started nearly four decades ago.

Visionary community leaders in Hattiesburg and Forrest County saw and filled a need when they combined city, county, and hospital resources to establish AAA Ambulance Service in Hattiesburg. Now the company is the only Mississippi organization to deliver air, ground, and trauma system services for an increasingly large sector of Mississippi people.

AAA Ambulance Service claims a unique position in the emergency medical service industry through bringing together all the experience and discipline required to deliver the best pre-hospital emergency care throughout Southeast Mississippi. Ground service to eight counties — Forrest, Jefferson Davis, Lamar, Marion, Pearl River, Perry, Stone, and Walthall — remains a stable, reliable, customer-oriented compact.

AAA Ambulance Service not only meets but surpasses the state requirement to update medical protocols – the company reviews and updates every year, not just as required once every three years! To ensure that all equipment performs at the highest possible capacity, Spruill and his staff acquire or update ambulances and life-saving equipment aboard each to assure customers access to the best.

AAA Ambulance Service configures crews and fleet to meet EMS needs in each community-based operation. Monitoring and analyzing calls for ambulances and emergency medical services, response times, demographics, and the origin and destination for each patient enables AAA Ambulance Service to assign appropriate resources to each field site and to maintain adequate coverage for every community.

“The Web-site design offers that same seamless service,” Spruill said. “From our easily identifiable ‘site map’ link in the upper right on the Web-site template, individuals can go directly to the page they need when they need it. We intend to continue to be available, first, and foremost in this industry.

“We are a business,” he said. “We provide pre-hospital emergency medical services and a whole lot more. With TransCare, we transport people who cannot ride in a car; our attendant who accompanies those passengers is certified in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and by the National Academy for Professional Drivers.

“AAA Ambulance Service also offers extensive learning opportunities for our own and other organizations’ EMS personnel,” he said. “We teach every day, delivering education services to emergency medical technicians, law enforcement and fire personnel, and to citizens who want to be prepared to respond to emergencies.

“We invite everyone to visit us virtually – via our Web-site – and to let us know through the ‘Contact Us’ capacity how we can improve to serve better,” Spruill urged.
