| Hattiesburg, MS - AAA Ambulance Service has partnered with The Army National Guard and Army Reserve to assist with the training of the Army’s new 91W Healthcare Specialist, a Military Occupational Specialist. This course is the equivalent of the civilian Emergency Medical Technician-Basic Course and is the course of study required for these individuals to achieve National registration and State certification.
AAA Ambulance Service will serve as the sole clinical site for this training in Mississippi. Students of the course will acquire required clinical experience in a “ride-a-along” situation where they will observe and assist with patient care as it is delivered by the highly trained Paramedics of AAA Ambulance Service.
The 91W course forms the basis of the Military Healthcare Specialist training program. Individuals trained as Military Healthcare Specialists provide care in combat situations, military field hospitals, air evacuation, and in multiple other roles of military healthcare.
AAA Ambulance Service is extremely proud to be providing a role in the training of these vitally important individuals who serve and protect our nation. |
